摘要
In the context of breast cancer microwave hyperthermia applications, the necessity for an effective temperature monitoring method is paramount. To address this need, we explored the application of the Linear Sampling Method (LSM) as a microwave imaging modality. Our investigation focused on fat phantoms and assumed the presence of a cylindrical contrast, mimicking the conditions encountered in breast tissue. Various saline solutions with different ratios were employed to evaluate the viability of LSM for monitoring temperature changes in breast cancer hyperthermia applications.Preliminary findings from our study are promising, indicating that LSM holds potential as a valuable tool for validating and assessing the accuracy of temperature focusing in hyperthermia procedures targeting breast cancer. This research represents a significant step forward in improving the safety and efficacy of hyperthermia treatments for breast cancer patients, offering a non-invasive and quantitative means of monitoring temperature changes within the target tissue. Further research and validation studies are underway to establish the method’s robustness and reliability in clinical settings.
