A method for measuring the velocity factor for antenna design

摘要
This paper describes a method to assess the velocity factor for wearable antennas on a textile substrate. The study was conducted in two stages: first, the velocity factor was determined for a transmission line embroidered on a sweater sleeve made of synthetic fibers fabric, and then the velocity factor was determined for a multiresonant embroidered antenna. The velocity factor for a multiresonant wire dipole could be accurately measured by using two transmission line stubs.
