EM Simulation of Small Disturbance Glass Support for Measurement of Antenna Gain in 300GHz Band

By considering a probe station S-parameter measurement in the 300 GHz band, a simulation was performed to evaluate the effect of a metal support column on the two-antenna gain measurement. The influence of the metal ground plane was investigated. It was shown that the small distance is preferable for accuracy when the height from the metal ground is fixed. It was confirmed that the effect of the reflected wave is reduced, and the transmission coefficient and gain approach the values in free space by changing the metal support to glass support.
