The objective assessment and optimization of the motion system are of significant importance in the context of flight simulators. Objective testing methods offer a standardized, reproducible, and quantifiable approach to performance evaluation, replacing the subjective biases and inconsistencies inherent in subjective testing. The International Civil Aviation Organization's Objective Motion Cueing Test (OMCT), developed under the guidance of the Royal Aeronautical Society in the United Kingdom, represents a frequency-domain-based objective assessment approach. This paper aims to scrutinize and instantiate the testing methodologies inherent to OMCT. By subjecting classical washout algorithms to OMCT evaluations, a systematic exploration is conducted. Finally, the parameters of the classical washout algorithm are optimized by genetic algorithm under the guidance of OMCT. The outcomes demonstrate that the optimized wash-out algorithm exhibits superior performance in both temporal and frequency domains, thereby enhancing the fidelity of motion simulation.
