A Dynamic Voltage Support Method for the Power Grid with Large-Scale Renewable Energy Generation Using Load Converters

With the growing connection of renewable energy sources, the voltage stability is very important for the grid. Considering the transient nature of grid voltage fluctuations, the load converters, distinguished by their capacity to adjust power factors and operate transiently under overload conditions, emerge as a compelling solution for conferring transient voltage support. This paper introduces a novel approach to grid voltage support through load converters, which coordinates the load requirements and hardware limitations to produce reactive power with different voltage fluctuations.
