Design of Loosely-Coupled High-Frequency Tank Transformer with Co-Magnetic Paths for Simultaneous Transmission of Power and Data

This paper proposes a design of a four-coil tank-type ferrite-core loosely-coupled transformer (LCT) to realize the simultaneous transmission of power and data (STPD). The LCT’s controlled source circuit model is established, and its electromagnetic parameters are calculated. The frequency-domain characteristics of the voltage gains in the power/data channel are analyzed. The effectiveness of the proposed design method is verified through simulation.
