Characterization of Magnetic Properties and Loss Estimation of Magnetic Materials Under Service Conditions Based on Characteristic Points

In order to simplify the difficulty of engineering applications and the problem of inaccurate characterization of magnetic properties under service conditions of electrical steel sheets (ESS), a novel hysteresis model is proposed based on the normal BH curve and characteristic points, considering dynamic and temperature factor. The proposed model is capable of constructing the major and minor hysteresis loops only by means of normal BH curve, intrinsic coercivity, and residual magnetic flux density provided by the manufacturer. The effects of frequency and temperature on the characteristic points are considered in the proposed hysteresis model. By comparing with the traditional hysteresis model, the proposed hysteresis model can not only avoid the problem that a large amount of experimental date is difficult to handle in the traditional hysteresis model, but also improve the accuracy of the multi-physics field coupling results.
