Research on Underwater Inverter Technology based on MMC

With the implementation of our country’s marine strategy and the steady progress of deepwater oil and gas field development, underwater production systems are receiving increasing attention. The underwater power supply system is a crucial component of offshore oil and gas production systems. Ill is paper conducts research and analysis on underwater inverter technology based on the modular multilevel converter (MMC). In comparison to underwater transformer solutions, the underwater inverter solution exhibits lower current waveform distortion and better control performance. Additionally, the application of MMC-based underwater inverter technology offers lower harmonic content, higher reliability, and ease of maintenance, which are crucial for underwater equipment applications.
