Optimised Use of Fixed-Scheduled Container Trains in Collaborative Logistics

Within this work, we present a novel optimisation approach trying to increase the throughput of the container transport network by focusing on smartly bundling container transportation on the railways. The proposed method is not only capable of providing optimal solutions to the container transportation problem but also supports in (re-)planning the service network in order to foster the decarbonisation of the freight forwarding sector.
