Microsatellite instability in gastric cancer: An institutional case series analysis in patients treated with neoadjuvant therapy

•We investigated a cohort of gastric cancer patients resected after pre-operative treatment for their microsatellite status.•Statistical analyses were computed to correlate the microsatellite instability with clinical and pathological features.•Survivals were analyzed focusing on microsatellite instability and tumor’s regression.•A complete-major response (TRG 1–2) correlated with improved survival.
