Femtosecond laser constructed anti-pollution silica glass surfaces with high-viscosity-oil adhesion prevention

•Using femtosecond laser fabrication, a new kind of highly transparent anti-pollution silica glass surface is created.•The created sample has outstanding electrical heating ability and can be heated to the fluid transition temperature of crude oil at a low voltage.•It possesses an outstanding underwater anti-oil ability, even to the pollution of the high-viscosity oil, like crude oil.•The high-transparency and anti-pollution ability made it be suitable for the application in underwater optical windows.
