Flexibility assessment tool and case studies

This chapter introduces the flexibility assessment tool and case studies. Firstly, the core function of power system flexibility evaluation and the framework of planning software are given. Secondly, a typical example is used to analyze the flexibility resource sensitivity of system function, flexibility investment scheme, and planning scheme and verify the effectiveness of system optimization. Finally, the layout and planning analysis process of the flexibility resources of a provincial power grid in 2030 are given, including thermal power flexibility transformation, grid flexibility configuration, demand side response, energy storage, and other flexible resource allocation, and the optimization effect of flexibility resources is analyzed.
