Femoral vessel injuries: High mortality and low morbidity injuries

Femoral vessel injuries are the most common vascular injuries encountered in a trauma center. Hemorrhage in most cases can be controlled with a tourniquet. Common femoral artery and venous injuries are difficult to repair but must be repaired at all cost.
