摘要
Influenza virus is a global issue for food producing animals. To fight against this illness, a broad range of antiviral drugs has been designed over the last 60 years. Their reported extensive use in poultry farming in Asia in 2005 raised concerns about the risk of promoting drug-resistant influenza virus strains. Various legislations have been set globally to ban influenza antiviral drugs in poultry and, therefore, preserve their efficacy when treating humans. Monitoring illegal uses is carried out by controlling antiviral drug residues in animal food using analytical methods.
