摘要
This chapter focuses on the transnational diaspora entrepreneurship in the UK. The economic, social and community perspectives are emphasised. We position the migrant entrepreneurship debate of the UK and sub-Saharan African countries with insights from the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor to embed the three identified cases within this context. The importance of co-existing embeddedness and the liability of outsidership highlights the necessity to understand a transnational economic, societal, entrepreneurial and community-based context. This chapter positions the TDEs in both the UK and the African context with specific country examples of Nigeria and Zambia. The cases presented in the chapter highlight the critical socio-economic and community contributions of TDEs to their home country.
