摘要
Recent developments in nanotechnology have made significant contributions to the tissue engineering field. This field is now being used to develop smart medication delivery systems as well as to repair or reconstruct damaged tissues or organs. Tissue engineering of dental tissue is going through substantial transitions as a result of developments in clinical therapies in the dentistry field. The foundation of tissue engineering is a trio consisting of scaffolds, stem cells, and signaling molecules, all of which need to be comprehended and evaluated concerning certain dental subfields. In this chapter, a synopsis of the morphological properties of dentine tissue, stem cells that are accessible in the oral area, and signaling molecules that may be used in tissue engineering is presented. Following that, both the existing and potential applications of nanotechnologies in dentistry will be discussed.
