摘要
Developing countries were affected by the first wave of COVID-19 at significantly later dates than much of the developed world. Whilst part of this was due to delays in transmission, the inbuilt strategies in developing countries for managing infectious disease threats on a day-to-day basis were also a key element of this phenomenon. As a result, there were many lessons to be learned from the developing world by developed countries—just as, in the same way, developing countries had some extra lead time to learn from European and other experiences.
