Military involvement in pandemics

Defence forces worldwide have been mobilized to engage with the COVID-19 response. Many countries have successfully leveraged their associated skills, infrastructure, and human resources to assist with testing, support of governments, enforcement of public health regulations, and, in some cases, even vaccinations. Here, we explore the potential advantages and limitations of deploying the military to assist with domestic and international vaccination programmes.
