摘要
The purpose of this study is to evaluate how a nanoparticle's mixing impacts the fuel characteristics and diesel engine performance of Neochloris oleoabundans algae biodiesel. The study was done on a direct injection, one-cylinder, liquid-cooled diesel engine employing cerium oxide (CeO2) and copper peroxide (CuO2) dispersion at a B20 blend level of biodiesel generated from green microalgae Neochloris oleoabundans. Variable engine loading conditions of 25–100% are used while the engine is running at 17.5 compression ratio and 1500 rpm. In order to compare fuel mixtures, the engine's performance parameters are examined. The results show increments in BTE by 0.79–3.70%, cylinder pressure by 0.75–1.67%, HRR by 2.35–4.98%, and reductions in BSFC by 5.19–9.5% and CO2 by 5.18–9.5% at the cost of NOx emissions, which are increased by 22.67–70.69% by the inclusion of nanoparticles to the Neochloris oleoabundans biodiesel.
