Energy Conservation and Carbon Reduction of Air Source Heat Pump for District Heating

Abstract Using ASHP for space heating is an environmental solution. Based on the concept of Lorenz cycle, an ASHP is proposed. Taking a residential community as an example, this study proposes a thermodynamic model. Then, the energy consumption and carbon emission performance of the heating system are discussed. The results indicate that the primary energy consumption of ASHP is 13.45% less than the coal-fired boiler and the carbon emission reduces by 1203.6 t CO2 . This study is meaningful for the development of air source CO 2 heat pump for space heating integrated with DMS.
