Generation of Stripe-Art Images with Variable Stripe Spacing

A non-photorealistic rendering method has been proposed to automatically generate strip-art images from photographic images. Stripe-art images are composed of binary stripes of black and white, and the shades of photographic images are expressed by partially changing the width of the stripes. We propose a method of partially changing the stripe spacing to improve the reproducibility of stripe-art images for photographic images. Experiments were conducted using various photographic images to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
