摘要
With the advancement of material science and nanotechnology, a new component has emerged as a novel functional component, carbon nanotubes (CNTs). The CNTs are wrapped in sp2-hybridized graphene sheets with a one-dimensional carbon shape and a shape ratio greater than 1000. Single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs), multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs), and few-walled carbon nanotubes (FWCNTs) are some common types of carbon nanotubes. This chapter discusses the most important and effective chemical techniques for obtaining acceptable features. It discusses the most important effective chemical techniques for obtaining acceptable properties for water purification applications using SWCNTS, MWCNTs, and FWCNTs. CNTs can be effectively controlled to create the desired qualities such as hydrophobicity, thermal stability, chemical stability, mechanical properties, and the possibility of remedying environmental pollutants. The use of CNTs has been briefly addressed. The advantages and disadvantages of using CNTs are also discussed. Based on the merits, future application scenarios can be determined.
