What is the relationship between climate change performance and education policies? Sample of highest fifteen climate change performing countries

The aim of the study is to investigate the relationship between climate change performance and education policies. The data from the Climate Change Performance Index (CCPI) of Germanwatch is used. Annual data for the period 2007–2020 and 15 high-performing countries in 2021 were considered. Education expenditures’ share in national income, the Education Index, and the number of Students in Higher Education are independent variables. Control variables are Ecological footprint and Economic growth. The results show that in countries with a high level of education, the society exhibits high performance in climate protection efforts.
