Bioresins Light-responsive microgels enable combination of embedded extrusion and volumetric bioprinting. In article number 2301673, Riccardo Levato and co-workers report the development of granular bioresins as a suspension bath for printing multiple cell types. Within seconds, the bath is shaped into complex 3D constructs with micro-to-macro, multiscale porosity, upon tomographic light exposure, building advanced models of cell–cell communication relevant for pancreatic metabolism.
