摘要
Teratozoospermia is typically considered an indication for in vitro fertilization (IVF) rather than intrauterine insemination (IUI). Given the subjectivity of sperm morphology measurements and the climbing rates of teratozoospermia diagnoses, it has been questioned whether sperm morphology still has any predictive value in IUI success, or lack thereof. Some data has suggested that teratozoospermia should not be a contraindication to IUI and that sperm morphology has no significant effects on pregnancy, live birth, or miscarriage rates in IUI recipients [1-3]. Research in this field is needed to delineate the effects of teratozoospermia on IUI success to help guide care for couples seeking infertility treatment.
