Radiation Exposure of 124I-MIBG in Adult Patients with Neuroendocrine Tumours

Ziel/Aim 123I-MIBG scintigraphy/SPECT is typically used for imaging neuroendocrine tumours although its diagnostic value is known to be restricted. The superiority of 124I-MIBG-PET is well documented, but to replace 123I-MIBG imaging in clinical routine, the radiation safety perspective also needs to be considered. We aim to investigate the radiation exposure of adult patients receiving 124I-MIBG.
