Insights for Addressing Challenges

Abstract Insights for Addressing Challenges addresses the phenomena underlying the four societal challenges. A fundamental question concerns where change interventions should be targeted. Several questions should guide these choices: 1) Will the benefits envisioned be embraced by stakeholders? 2) Is any stakeholder organization currently providing these benefits?; 3) Are they successfully providing these benefits? 4) Is the scope of those benefited limited by resources or mandates? 5) What might hinder the broad provision of these benefits? Initiatives in health, education, energy, and information management are elaborated and discussed. This discussion includes consideration of how these initiatives influence each other, both negatively and positively.
