Chronic fatigue syndrome and the autonomic nervous system

Chronic fatigue syndrome is a relatively common, often debilitating, multi-system illness frequently associated with autonomic dysfunction, particularly orthostatic intolerance, postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, and neurally mediated hypotension. This chapter reviews the literature on autonomic dysfunction in chronic fatigue syndrome.
