Application of Artificial Intelligence in Insurance Sector: A Bibliometric View

Artificial intelligence is a relatively new concept that is growing rapidly due to its potential applications and benefits for almost every sort of business domain. The main goal of this article is to provide a bibliometric analysis on studies relating to artificial intelligence in insurance sector by computing the most relevant journals, authors, documents, and country articles. The study also used word cloud, thematic and trending topic analysis. To accomplish this, we used publications from Scopus databases published in English on artificial intelligence in the insurance sector up to June 2022. The search highlighted that the highest number of papers were contributed by the authors of India, and the maximum number of citations were received by the authors of the USA. Advances in Intelligent Systems and Computing Journal lead the maximum publication in this area. The result also show that Deep learning, internet of things, health care, health insurance, insurance, health care cost and machine learning are the trend topics and keywords in this domain. The findings of this paper can be used as a guideline for coming researchers in deciding their topic in the area of artificial intelligence.
