摘要
Reversed Mitochondrial Dysfunction Fullerenol nanoparticles are both stable and effective in protecting the degenerating retina. In article number 2205998, Yu Gong, Zhanjun Gu, Haiwei Xu, and co-workers propose the potential utility of fullerenols for safeguarding the mitochondrial genome to maintain electron transport chain function and simultaneously reversing the abnormal nuclear DNA expression patterns. The nanomaterials alleviate photoreceptor degeneration and are expected to serve as a viable means to treat retinitis pigmentosa.
