Interventional Oncology Immunotherapy In article 2300906 by Dong-Hyun Kim and co-workers, incorporation of CpG molecules into a lipiodol-based emulsion, and its transarterial delivery performing transcatheter arterial chemo-immuno-embolization (TACIE), successfully induces robust local/systemic anti-tumor immunity and regression of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The TACIE approach combining TACE and local delivery of immune adjuvant suggests a new form of local interventional oncology immunotherapy for the treatment of HCC.
