Entropy

Nature is ruled by the laws of Thermodynamics. While the First Law states that energy is always conserved whenever energy is transformed from one form to another, the Second Law states that there are forms of energy that are transformed from one form to another, the Second Law states that there are forms of energy that are more able to drive a process and support a chemical or mechanical transformation (work) and that systems spontanously degrade.. This property associated with the Second Law is entropy, and it helps understand and quantify natural and anthropogenic depletion.
