Human Posture Analysis in Working Capacity Monitoring of Critical Use Equipment Operators

An urgent task is to control the preservation of the health and performance of operators of equipment of high importance. For example, operators of nuclear power plants. Operators undergo regular medical examinations. Nevertheless, it is necessary to carry out constant monitoring of the health during the operator's work shift. Systems for non-contact monitoring of the physiological and psycho-emotional states of operators are being developed. In such systems, it is necessary to track some specific postures of the human body. This article proposes a method and algorithm for analyzing the configuration of a human “skeleton” from a video image. The results of practical implementation are given.
