The Front Cover shows the silhouette of a starry sky observer watching a solar eclipse highlighting the partnership of the elements gold and silver that have been traditionally associated with the sun and the moon, respectively. The moon's surface encapsulates the hitherto elusive crystallographic structure of Naumann's AgI/AgIII mixed valence salt [AgI][AgIII(CF3)4] (Ag-1). The safe access to Ag-1 reported herein enabled the building and authentication of the first class of stable AgI/AgIII mixed valence salts featuring the AgIII homoleptic anion 1. The utility of Ag-1 in organometallic catalysis has been demonstrated by the 5-exo-dig cyclization of N-propargylbenzamide catalyzed by [Au(PPh3)]-1, which is synthesized from AuCl(PPh3) and Ag-1 and competes in terms of efficiency with the most active catalysts reported so far.
