Channel Shuffling for Double Space-Time Line Coded Systems.

In this study, a channel shuffling (CS) technique is proposed for double space-time line code (DSTLC) systems. The proposed CS-DSTLC transmitter generates a DSTLC signal with optimally shuffled channels that maximize the received signal-to-noise ratio and transmits to a CS-DSTLC receiver. After de-shuffling the received signals, the CS-DSTLC receiver estimates the transmitted symbols through a conventional DSTLC decoding process. Further, a de-shuffling index acquisition technique is proposed based on K -means clustering to eliminate the additional signaling overhead for the de-shuffling. A complexity analysis and bit-error-rate (BER) performance evaluation verified that the proposed CS technique can dramatically improve existing DSTLC BER performance with only a slight additional computation at the transceiver.
