Outer membrane vesicles (OMVs) are secreted by Gram-negative bacteria via outward budding of the outer membrane. It plays an important role in bacterial-host communication and can modulate the host immune response. There are limited approaches for fast and precise evaluation of OMVs secretion. In article e312, Chen, Zhao, and coworkers reported a light-up fluorescent AIE probe for efficient detection and high-throughput identification of OMVs.
