Quality of life among tuberculosis patients on treatment in Southwest Nigeria

•Tuberculosis remains a disease of public health importance globally.•Although there is established treatment for tuberculosis, the quality of life of patients on treatment for tuberculosis is often neglected while focus is placed on microbiological cure.•This study looks at the quality of life among tuberculosis patients in Southwest, Nigeria where tuberculosis prevalence is high.•The overall quality of life was good and duration of sickness before diagnosis was significantly associated with the quality of life of the TB patients.
