Novel inhibitors that target the Eph family of transmembrane tyrosine kinase receptors have been optimized and characterized. Some of the compounds show remarkable receptor selectivity and affinity for the Eph receptors and inhibit the growth of colon cancer cells where these receptors are expressed and active.
