Dental crown fabrication for canine using DMLS

The manufacturing industries face difficulties and challenges in selecting customized materials of superalloys, and ceramics, meeting rigorous design requirements with high precision, and complexity with surface quality. So, material development plays a vital role in modern manufacturing industries to meet the fabrication of customized implants, prostheses, and orthoses requirements. Direct metal laser sintering (DMLS) is a promising technology that deals with the fabrication of physical parts from a digital virtual model with metallic powders of different compositions. So, parts with inherent design complexity (a crucial parameter for implantation) are easily fabricated by DMLS. This study aimed to evaluate the evidence for the reliability of DMLS-based dental prosthetics by using two different materials and to establish the correlation based on their compressive load-carrying capacity.
