摘要
In 2015, UI Health (UIH) began a nurse practitioner led lung cancer screening (LCS) program using United States Preventive Services Task Force and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid screening guidelines. Low-dose CT (LDCT) LCS has been shown to improve survival detecting early-stage LC in high-risk individuals. The National Lung Screening Trial had a lung cancer (LC) detection rate of 1.1%, a 20% reduction in LC mortality, with a racial makeup of 91% White and 4.5% Black/African American individuals.
