摘要
The Malignancy Assessment Using Gene Identification in Captured Cells (MAGIC) algorithm is a novel risk assessment tool that utilizes gene expression from captured circulating tumor cells and serum biomarkers to predict the presence of a malignancy in patients with a pelvic mass. The MAGIC Algorithm (recently published in the Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology) demonstrated a sensitivity of 95%, a specificity of 76%, and an accuracy of 83% for detecting EOC in patients with pelvic mass. The algorithm utilizes expression levels of 9 genes and 4 serum biomarkers to predict the presence of a malignancy. The objective of this study was to evaluate the MAGIC algorithm as a prognostic tool for predicting progression-free and overall survival (PFS and OS).
