Environmental exposures and mismatch repair status in a western Pennsylvania endometrial cancer cohort (155)

Mismatch repair (MMR) deficiency is detected in more than a quarter of all endometrial cancers. MMR status carries prognostic significance and is increasingly used in treatment planning for patients with endometrial cancer. Existing data shows that certain environmental factors can lead to tumor epigenetic changes; however, little is known about the relationship between environmental and endometrial cancer molecular alterations. The objective of this study was to explore whether environmental exposures are associated with endometrial cancer MMR status.
