摘要
Seven genera, 13 species and an undetermined species of Permian fusulinids have been recognized from marine platform limestones in the Maokou and Wuchiaping formations in two sections of the eastern Sichuan Basin, South China. Two fusulinid zones and two subzones were established according to individual numbers and species abundance, including the Neoschwagerina zone, subzone Codonofusiella of Neoschwagerina and subzone of Verbeekina-Sumatrina. Meanwhile, the evolution of fusulinids and microfacies reflected the gradual shallowing of the carbonate platform during the Guadalupian (Maokou) period, which disappeared in the early Wuchiapingian stage (Wangpo Age) and finally re-emerged in the middle-late Wuchiapingian stage.
