Laser-Induced Structuring In article number 2201802, Lamborghini Sotelo, Silke Christiansen, and co-workers demonstrate Laser-Induced Periodic Surface Structures (LIPSS) for a one-step micro and nano surface structuring of different surfaces; however, their formation process still presents an open problem. This study explores the influence of the initial surface roughness of metal plates on the formation of LIPSS. The generated structures are then tested as biocompatible surfaces for bone implant treatment.
