Training and Performance Analysis in Team Sports

The rise of technology has opened up a large number of possibilities to collect and process data from the matches and training sessions in team sports. These quantities of data can be very helpful if adequately integrated into the decision-making processes of coaching staffs and players. Nevertheless, there seems to be a lack of a macro model of performance that adequately deals with organized (strategic) and non-organized (tactical) behaviors, allowing to better understand the process of training and the process of analyzing performance.
