摘要
Abstract Pe.lag.e.ry.thro.bac'ter. L. neut. n. pelagus , the sea; N.L. masc. n. Erythrobacter , a genus name; N.L. masc. n. Pelagerythrobacter , Erythrobacter from the sea. Pseudomonadota / Alphaproteobacteria / Sphingomonadales / Erythrobacteraceae / Pelagerythrobacter The genus Pelagerythrobacter belonging to the family Erythrobacteraceae currently comprises four species with validly published names: Pelagerythrobacter aerophilus , P . marensis , P . marinus , and P . rhizovicinus . Members of Pelagerythrobacter inhabit various environments, such as surface and deep seawater as well as rhizosphere soil of a desert xerophyte. Cells are Gram‐stain‐negative and several members are motile by a polar flagellum. The main respiratory quinone is ubiquinone‐10. The major polar lipids are phosphatidylcholine (PC), phosphatidylethanolamine (PE), phosphatidylglycerol (PG), and sphingoglycolipid (SGL). The predominant cellular fatty acid is an unsaturated octadecenoic acid of C 18:1 . DNA G + C content (mol%) : 64–69 ( genome ). Type species : Pelagerythrobacter marinus Xu et al. 2020 VP (basonym: Altererythrobacter marinus Lai et al. 2009b VP ).
