Thermoelectric Properties of PbSe0.9Te0.1 at Cryogenic Temperature

Thermoelectric materials are attractive for the reversible conversion between heat and electrical energy. Bulk PbSe0.9Te0.1 were prepared by two processes. The electrical conductivity, Seebeck coefficients and thermal conductivity of two samples prepared by different techniques were investigated in the temperature range from 15 K to 300 K. The phase was analyzed by XRD and the microstructure was observed by SEM. The obtained results showed that the unannealed sample exhibited the optimal thermoelectric properties.
