Design of HVAC Systems Based in Horizontal Confluent Jets Equipped in an Experimental Chamber

The design of Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems, based on horizontal confluent jets, built with an inlet system and an outlet system, developed inside an experimental chamber, is analyzed in this study. In the inlet system the horizontal confluents jets system is made with four vertical ducts located in the corner area. The vertical duct system is equipped with consecutive nozzles that promote a horizontal airflow near the wall and project the airflow near the floor. This system is equipped with an outlet system built with six vertical ducts, located in the central area, above the head level. This experimental chamber, equipped with HVAC system based on horizontal confluent jets, is used to validate the numerical models, namely, the Building Thermal Response and the coupling of the Human Thermal Response and the Computational Fluids Dynamics.
