Optic Neuritis: A Review

Optic Neuritis (ON) is a prevalent cause of acute to subacute optic neuropathy especially in young adults. While ON is most commonly associated with multiple sclerosis, there are numerous other etiologies of ON. It is crucial for clinicians to be able to identify various causes of ON because both the acute and chronic treatments differ depending on the etiology of the ON. In this review, we will explore the presentation, evaluation, etiologies, management, and prognosis of patients with ON.
