摘要
Titanium alloys have been reported to exhibit Dynamic Strain Aging (DSA) at intermediate temperatures that strongly influence their workability and performance under various loading conditions. It has been experimentally well established that DSA in these alloys is due to the dislocation pinning and unpinning by the Cottrell atmosphere. In the present work, a model for DSA is developed which is an extension of Kubin–Estrin–McCormick (KEMC) model. The model takes into account the reduction in material strength due to thermal softening along with its implications on DSA. The one-dimensional DSA model developed in this work is further extended to the CPFEM framework. The results from this model show good agreement with the experimental findings for a wide range of temperatures.
